GBP/USD 1-31-07

USD/CAD 4-5-07

  4-11-07  FOMC trade. Good example of not trading every news announcement.

4-13-07 EUR/USD trade, took profits at target as indicated by the "target". Fuel for move was US PPI and US trade balance.    profit = 22 pips 

4-13-07 GBP/USD trade, took profits at targets as indicated. 1st target closed 3/4 of my position and 2nd target closed last 1/4 of position. Fuel for move was the same as above in the EUR/USD.  profit = 19 pips on 1st 3/4 and 45 pips on last 1/4. 

 

 4-13-07 USD/JPY trade, took profits at two targets. Closed first 3/4 of position with 25 pips and last 1/4 of position with 55 pips.

Trading Notes

• It is true that a lot of people make claim to trades they never take and try to prove themselves by showing charts of trades after the fact... but these are trades that are recorded on my trading statement and others who followed along were able to do the same.
• I look for the same pattern over and over again. It isn't hard once you understand the concept. It's really all about pattern recognition.
• If the pattern isn't there, I just look at another currency or wait.
• To make a trading decision, I weight technical and fundamentals factors.
